Project Description

In summer 2016, Zaher together with our local partner Food Heritage Foundation joined the summercamp at the educational center in Aley (Mt. Lebanon) run by YALLA – Pour les Enfants. Through 4 full workshop days, experts from Food Heritage Foundation taught the kids, teachers and parents about different plants, as well as basic gardening and composting, about soil and insects and nutrition and the use of plants from the garden. The teachers and a few students were invited to a former training to enable them to help out and supervise the other kids in the gardening activities in a summer camp at the educational center the following weeks.

To make the gardens alive, we need your support. Gardening doesn’t cost a lot – which is why your donation, big or small, can be a turning point for the establishment of more learning gardens. Any kind donation makes a huge difference for our ability to let more gardens come alive in Lebanon. We are a small organization, running 100% non-profit and by volunteering efforts only. Donations will go directly to the projects.
