Thursday 22nd of March, we participated in Opbyg Samfundets program as part of CPH:DOX. We screened the short movie on our learning garden in the Bekaa Valley and had a really interesting talk with director Jeppe Hansen from Opbyg Samfundet on creating social change far from home. The discussion was joined also by Jette Mitchewa, project manager on a rehabilitation program in a prison in Niger. We talked about our approach to working with vulnerable children and youth and local permaculture experts in Lebanon, and discussed sustainability, local engagement and co-creation. We are grateful for this opportunity to share our experiences and to have an important and exciting dialogue on responsibility and participation when working far away from home.
